The Art of Love
February is a month of love! May you feel the most extraordinary kind of love for yourself, for your life, and for others. And may you be graced with the same beautiful love in return.
Love as a Context
Just as I set a context for my year, I create a context for each month. My context for February is LOVE. I connect my context for each month with my overarching context for the year. In doing so my context becomes the lens through which I create, live, and experience my life. Living life in alignment with a context amplifies my intention, presence, and connection. It is an embodied experience – I create more meaning, magic, and memories in my life.
The Art of Love
I've been contemplating love. Words cannot accurately convey what love truly is, only define it in logical terms. Love is so much more than a word. It expands beyond definition and thought, love is a feeling. Love is a frequency. Love is an experience. Love is felt. Love is body-based, anchored in the heart. Love is an art. Love is embodied.
The Frequency of Love
Love carries an energetic frequency of 540 MHz, equivalent to the frequency of Gratitude. Love and Gratitude are the highest vibrational frequencies we can experience as humans. The frequency of love impacts us physically, energetically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Love opens the heart. Love is the language of the soul. The frequency of love is powerful and undeniable. It shifts our physiology, alters brain chemistry, and even influences our electromagnetic field. Love is a true amplifier of life.
Self-Love
The way we love ourselves sets the stage for how others love us. Self-love is the bedrock of deep, lasting, and healthy relationships. We've been conditioned to seek love externally, to do things to earn it. But the truth is, you are inherently worthy of love, simply for being you. Learning to love yourself is the greatest gift you can give yourself and the world. So many spend their lives searching outside themselves, unknowingly radiating a frequency of lack.
Mirror Love
Mirror Love, a concept of Mirror work, as popularized by Louise Hay, is a powerful tool for amplifying self-love because it directly confronts and rewires our deeply ingrained beliefs about ourselves.
How to do Mirror Love:
I. Sit or stand in front of a mirror.
II. Gaze at yourself in the mirror and look into your own eyes.
III. Maintain your gaze in your eyes as you tell yourself “I love you” aloud.
IV. Breathe. Let the words land. Notice what arises.
V. Repeat “I love you” aloud two more times while maintaining your gaze.
Go slow. Be gentle and patient with yourself. You’re unlearning a lot of cultural conditioning as you do this. Thoughts and fears around your body and yourself may still arise, and they become softer and not as controlling as you anchor into remembering who you truly are.
Remember, self-love is a journey. You are the one to love yourself the way you desire. When you do you set the standard and magnetize people who love you in the way you desire.
Wishing you a month and a life filled with endless love!
