Understanding the Power of Hydration

Water, the essence of life, plays a foundational part in our healing and wellness journey. Without water we die. The human body is composed of ~60% water. Water serves as the cornerstone for cleansing, healing, and sustaining our bodies in optimal condition. Every cell, tissue, and organ thrives on proper hydration to function efficiently.

Proper hydration isn't just about quantity but also quality.  "Living water," vibrant and energized, mirrors its pristine natural state, imbuing our bodies with life and energy. In nature, water is hexagonal in shape. This structure makes water living and more hydrating as the water molecules effortlessly enter the cells of the human body. Unlike tap or bottled water which may lack vitality, living water is believed to retain beneficial energy from its environment, offering a myriad of health promoting benefits.

Tap and Bottled Water can actually be Dehydrating

Contrary to what you might think, tap and bottle water can actually create a dehydrating effect on the body. Tap water is often laden with toxins like heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, and chlorine, which can compromise our health, especially liver function and hormone balance. Drinking water from plastic water bottles poses additional concerns due to the chemical leaching which only increases our toxic load, hindering our health. These chemicals enter our bodies when we consume bottled water, they are especially more harmful if the bottle has been exposed to light, sun and artificial sources. The xenoestrogens that these plastic bottles contain are endocrine disruptors, thus compromising our body’s hormonal balance. The toxins and chemicals from tap and bottled water have an incredibly dehydrating effect on the body. When chemicals and toxins are present in the body, the lymphatic system retains water to dilute them, protecting the organs and cells from damage. One interesting thing I learned, was that while many bottled water companies claim their water is pure and “filtered",” many are not. Rather they are simply bottled tap water which compounds the issues highlighted previously. Tap and bottled water are considered “dead” water as they do not possess the molecular structure of “living” water and are often devoid of the natural minerals. To counter these concerns, you can revitalize your water with fresh lemon or lime juice, which maximizes hydration and supports detoxification (details below!).

Enhancing Water Quality

One of the simplest and most powerful ways to enhance your water quality is to add lemon or lime juice to your water. 

Lemon WaterDrinking 16-32 oz of lemon water first thing in the morning hydrates the body on a cellular level, supports the liver, and promotes elimination. Lemon Water enhances the body’s cleansing process. Fresh squeezed lemon juice makes tap and bottled water more living and hydrating. Lemon Water strengthens the immune system, supports weight loss, and alkalizes the body. Lemon Water supports the strength of bones and teeth. It also supports digestion, cellular hydration, and cognitive function.

Directions: Use ½ lemon per every 16 ounces. Use 1 lime per every 16 ounces. (fresh lemon or lime juice is best to prevent oxidation and maximize the benefits)

Celery Juice — Celery Juice is an incredibly powerful juice that supports every organ and every  function in the body.
